Anybody here ever actually run the 40?

I don't have a stopwatch. Maybe I should see if one of my friends does and get some jackass to time me.

What's your 40 time?

We had a white guy by the name of Zwiggi or something who played football for our school. Rumor got around that he ran a 4.2 40. They even wrote a article about his draft prospects. I knew it was complete bullshit, but the poor kid put up his own website with highlight reels and timed 40s. Pro day comes around and he runs a 4.5. New article comes out talking about the wind and poor field conditions.

sounds like my high school

every year we had 4 or 5 white kids timed at 4.3 or better

it was hysterical

the kid I was talking about who was a total beast still thinks he was running 4.4's and that a 4.5 isn't fast

4.5 is lightning fast

and that kid was running 4.8's (which is also pretty damn fast for an amateur athlete)

but yeah yeah yeah ChiefsPlanet...you were all running legit 4.6's in high school on your coaches watches

Ran 4.5 consistently(electronically timed) and timed once at 4.45. At one time I was "true white lightening" at 5'10" and 210.

Actually, you're full of shit. At my high school, there was a "Wall of Fame" for 1,000 pound club members and that was 27 years ago.

I witnessed several guys "make" the 1,000 pound club. They had to squat, bench and dead-lift in less than 60 minutes in order to make the club.

I never made it. I had an injury my senior year that kept me out of lifting for almost three months. On the last day of school, I could only hit 935 pounds.

But considering I only weighed 170 at graduation, that was pretty good. And before you call "bullshit", not only do I have hundreds of classmates that will support my claim, but pics as well.
