Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

I was looking for the cheapest place to buy the Hogue grips for the Ruger P89. I also want to see if there is anywhere cheaper to buy a P95 trigger than the Ruger website at $18.

Was just wanting to do a little price shopping.

I just picked up the Hogue JR on Amazon for $8.20 w/free shipping (had to buy other shit anyway so spent $25). Gets here on the 11th... then gonna go play at the range.

Also, my PF9 was having all sorts of FTE problems... seems to be a known issue for this little gun. I sent Kel TEc an email about 2 weeks ago and they were going to ship me a new extractor kit. A week later... no joy. Sent them another email and they finally got one out to me yesterday. Put it on but have not fired it yet.

Just the feel of the spring though seems just as weak as the original. Buddy of mine is a metal worker and has offered to hand make a new spring if this other one fails again. So far I am pretty damn disappointed.

Also, got the laser in... ****ing awesome. Absolutely love it but have not gotten it sighted because of the ****ing spring. Can't wait to go shoot.

I was just going to suggest Amazon. They have a quite a lot of gun stuff. I've bought several items there.

I love browsing their gun stuff. Waiting for a deal on a BoreSnake for all 3 of my guns. Also looking for a sidesaddle or ammo card for my 88.

The grip price isn't bad on Amazon, and I just checked midwayusa and they had the trigger for a couple bucks cheaper so it looks like that's about the going rate. I figured Ruger had everything marked up even more than that.

Got my Hogue Handall Jr in the mail today. Had to do a bit of trimming but overall... NICE. Makes it much easier to draw from the holster and feels nice in the hand.

PS, the new extractor kit helped but did not completely resolve the issue. I went from 1-2 FTE per magazine to one every 3. I bent the holy hell out of the new spring and it helped dramatically. Put 150 rounds through it and it got better as I went along. Gonna go blow through another 150 tomorrow.

/holy **** this hobby is expensive.
