I'm confused, tonight on Sci-Fi so this is the start of the series that takes over where the pilot episode ended? I think that is what I saw last year? Stoltz and the other guy figure out how to bring the daughter back? That was the pilot right?

The idea was cool, but the acting just seemed terrible to me.

They should have did a prequel series on Kobol, instead of Caprica.

There was a movie put out on it awhile back. It's part of the Battlestar Galactica series if im not mistaken.

I agree, I was left pretty luke warm from the pilot so I did not want to watch it again that's why I was wondering if the new series started tonight or next week, the Sci-Fi (I ain't calling them "SyFy"!) site says it starts tonight and then you can watch the pilot online so I thought maybe that means that the actual series started tonight??

I loved Battlestar Galatica, but I find myself not even wanting to DVR this.

Anybody who has seen the pilot already, please, convince me that it's worth a crap.

If they are putting it on Hulu, I would just watch the pilot and the first three or four episodes once they are up. You should be able to get a feel for the show after that.

Battlestar Galactica is one of my top three or five television shows of all time. I am willing to give Caprica a season or so of my viewership just because of that.

The new shows are purportedly better than the Pilot movie (which I haven't seen yet).

I watched Caprica a few months ago (Netflix). It was a little weird. Not anywhere near as good as BSG. I see that tonight is just a replay of that movie. Hopefully, the series will get better. I am willing to give it a try.

Yep, thats my thoughts on it as well - they deserve at least one season but I'll be waiting by the trigger to shut it down if needed.

I'm recording the rebroadcast now - missed it earlier, although I did see the super cheesy fake-ass train explosion. I hope the rest of CGI effects arent' that shitty. Looked less like BG and more like everything else on SciFi.
