A lot of this is idealistic, but I really do hope that after the economy settles down that Obama tackles health care in 09' worst case 010'.

I can't believe anyone would pick a mission to Mars in this economic climate.

alternative energy program started - i didn't pick this one, because with the current chuckleheads in charge, it won't actually help us, it will be a boondoggle of ethanol and farm subsidies and 'green' companies in which all these liberal politicians have financial stakes - rather than pure electric or nuclear options which may actually be solutions rather than political footballs

I know I'm cynically, but I suspect the economy will take a sudden and dramatic turn for the "better"....at least the press coverage will begin to tilt that way....on about, oh say, January 21st.

I picked some things that are unreachable but do not seem like they should be. I would have picked more but know they never will happen. I do hope Gaz has a great year

I also hope that this forum becomes more respectful and becomes a place of open minded debate.

I do not think so if you and other respected posters make a stand and take the high ground. Both sides have very bright people and we together can stay above the fray. The economy is in the early stages of a correction. I say it takes another year to correct without govt intervention. Since we're getting massive govt intervention, I say it will take a decade. Or until the Ds are booted out buy a remade GOP with President Mark Sanford. ( No Jindal for me...he's too close to the "you-know-who's" for me.) Jindal doesn't want it anyway.
