There are all sorts of stats about the forum buried in the Admin CP. I'd love to make those available to everyone, but I haven't really found an add-on that does it well. But, I'm a stats geek, so I might bump this thread from time to time with useless tidbits that I find interesting.

Question 1: What is the total size of ChiefsPlanet's entire attachments file?

This includes all pictures that have ever been "attached" to a message, as well as a handful of other types of files. This does NOT include pictures linked in from outside web sites.

I'm not terribly computer savvy, and this may prove it, but there may be that much in the girly pic thread alone...

Is there some kind of limit on how many files you can attach now? The last time I tried to attach an image it said I exceeded my limits or something like that.

You're definitely right that the girly pic thread is the biggest source of attachments. I can't look at it based on threads, but I can tell you that the top two attach-ers both post in the girly pic thread a lot, and those two alone combine to make up nearly 1/4th of our total attachment space!

However, I was very surprised at how SMALL the attachments add up to.

That was a mistake. Kyle created a new group for you "supporters" rather than copying the "regulars" group. By default, there's a limit, but I found it last night when Kevin mentioned it and turned it off. You're not limited anymore.

Sorry about that. If any of you "supporters" find anything else that's limiting you, shoot me a PM. You all are supposed to have MORE privs (albeit not MANY more), but certainly not less than regulars.

I was amazed that I could burn every attachment in the Planet's history to a single DVD. You'd think that those pics would have added up quicker than that!
