Movies

Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

I don't think it was an ending that you are supposed to get really. The whole thing was an expositional piece, I think it was an expression of Clint Eastwood's concerns about life after death.

It's actually the opposite. If the audience likes it less than the critics then it is virtually guaranteed to be a really good movie.

If you have a 1080p TV and a blu-ray player, I suggest watching it on the visual effects alone.

They say it weighs 10 ton and the cash is 5 ton. 30,000 lb and they're expecting me to believe a charger will pull it with no wheels? They can soup it up and get more power but there will never be the traction to get it done. And then they whip it around and keep the cars on the road. Those cars can't weigh more than 3000 pounds. 30000 going sideways would just jerk it off the road. [\spoiler]

I was willing to look past the goofy crap but I can't let that go.

The safe scene was way to unbelievable but i just ignored it and kept watching as painful as that was to my logical thinking. Just like the train scene i was like whatever. But it was somewhat entertaining.

I know it's been commented on, but I watched the Adjustment Bureau last night. What a shitty movie that was. Cornball and slow and lame and boring.

One of the best movies i've seen in quite a while is Everything Must Go, starring Will Ferrell, its his Lost in Translation... where the comedic actor comes into his own & gets respect as a more serious figure.

Great story about a guy who's lost everything & decides to live in his front yard, sounds cliche, but the best words i can come up with are 'heartfelt & touching'.

Loved it.
