Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

Red, White and Blue on netflix is disturbing and depressing but well done.

Holy shit, Thor was awesome. Best superhero movie I've seen in forever. Anthony Hopkins was awesome, and even though it was predictable, it was awesome to watch it all unfold. I was geeking the **** out when Thor finally redeemed himself and started powering up and shit. CGI was ****ing incredible. Humor was awesome. Kenneth Branagh rules.

I actually felt kinda bad taking a swipe at Quentins predilictions with the timeline, its a great device for making the audience 'keep up' & has really become his signature style... but too much of a good thing is just that.

Tony Scott's more straight ahead style worked perfectly on this, we got all of Tarantinos awesome characters & dialogue without his helter-skelter approach, the studio should insist on another director more often.

it's a little bit older, but my 4 y.o. turned on THE SKELETON KEY yesterday. it's got kate hudson, that's the only reason i watched it. actually, not a terrible flick for a kate hudson movie.

You don't seem to realize this, so it is my duty to inform you that Quintin's non-linear narratives are written into the scripts. He's not taking a script that he wrote as linear and deciding as director to present it non-linearly. The very script itself is non-linear. Tony Scott isn't the reason that True Romance is linear, it's because Quintin wrote that film linearly.

This makes me laugh. I remember watching the remake and the scene where the zombie tackles the guy in the cemetery makes me everytime. I don't know why. It might be because the dummy head literally bounces off the edge of the tombstone.

Just watched Red Riding Hood. So ****ing terrible... every aspect of it is terrible.

I like to think and hope that Gary Oldman wept when off set because he was a part of something so terrible.

Watching 28 Weeks Later (and this movie is so perfect) I recall the ending setting it up for a third one of these. Has anything been confirmed? Or rumored?

Kung Fu Panda 2. Thumbs Up. Really, enjoyed it. Its nothing to deep, but highly enjoyable and better than it has any right to be.

Ill be honest, I've never seen why people love the 28 series so much. I always thought the characters in it were dumber than most in horror movies. I found myself rolling my eyes way to much for such a "brilliant" pair of movies.

I like them a lot. I'm a bit of a zombie movie geek. The concept is fascinating to me.

But I'm more of a fan of the classic slow zombies. The actual walking dead (With all of the disadvantages that being a reanimated corpse brings). They don't chase you down, they lumber toward you slowly, and overwhelm you with sheer masses. Much more horrifying, IMO.

And before any other zombie nerd says it, in that movie series, they aren't actually zombies.
