My favorite would have to be the soundtrack for Amelie. Yann Tiersen also did a great soundtrack of Summer of 78. Another great would I think is Last of the Mohicans, great music there. But, if your looking for more of main stream soundtrack (by that I mean music with words) then Singles has a pretty great line up.

The Avengers main theme is one of the best recent movie themes I've heard. Alan Silvestri has been doing this for 30 years. He's pretty damn underrated. When Joss Whedon heard this music playing for the first time as the camera panned around the Avengers he apparently got extremely emotional.

His score for Predator is ****ing amazing. The Mummy Returns is also pretty awesome.
