That's not really a prerequisite. I can honestly say it's right up there with AD in terms of pure comedic greatness, but there's nowhere near as much continuity porn, and all you really need to know about the characters is pretty easy to find out within an episode or two.

Really, all you need to know is that they're terrible, terrible people.

I watched this show last year and really liked it. The best thing about it was the low key, low budget, no-name cast. I felt like I was the only one watching it. Then all of a sudden Danny Devito joins the show and I'm like, 'crap, that kinda spoils it for me'. Then I watch and it's still good.

The best show last year was when the dumb guy was dating a hermaphrodite. Hilarious!

I thought the same thing but if you think about it, DeVito isn't a big name any more. He is almost a no name actor again, most young people hardly know who the **** he is never mind Taxi.

The underage drinking show last night was funny as hell.

The visual of that kid who looked to be 12 picking up a round of drinks at the bar [I think it was the opening shot after the first commercial break] was hilarious.
