I think signing bodies on cheap contracts to play RB/FB in FA is a good idea, because the draft can be all D. I like the power style running backs to play with Mahomes. I don't want Reid "generating" offense running Mahomes on read-option plays.

Let's pound the ball with Hunt, Ware and Sherman when Mahomes isn't throwing it for 80 yard bombs.

When the Chiefs just want to run the clock, up by 21 because of Mahomes, I don't mind Sherman taking 8 secs longer to run for an 80 yard touchdown.

If last year taught us something, it’s that we need at least one more RB that can start games and give Hunt enough breathers to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

We can’t really count on Ware and even if we could, he’s going into the last year of his contract.

If the right opportunity presents itself, I’d have no problem if they took a RB in the 3rd or 4th.

Maybe that's it. Great kid. But with Mahomes now the starting QB, Hunt might get even less carries if it's a pass happy offense.

Our running game is going to be sooooo opened up with Hill and Watkins spreading out that Defense. we're going to need 3 running backs just to keep someone fresh.

I am more encouraged that the Chiefs inquired about Jensen. This tells me they are looking to upgrade C/G, as they should. Price point was high for Jensen, but he is a stud.

Protect Mahomes FFS.

How many carries does the 3rd RB get a game? One? Two? I'm pretty sure Sherman could handle that load. My point was that we already have 2 RBs we aren't doing much with, so why expend a lot of time and money replace them when we have other needs. K. Hunt, Ware, West/A. Hunt (pick one), and the occasional carry by Sherman should be enough, especially if they use Sherman like a FB.

And DAT. The whole point of them looking at other RB’s is to replace West though, since he’s our third option and highest paid. It’s actually a money saving move... which helps with signing other players of need... not wasting money.
