Awesome. Pressing the flesh and posing for photographs with the crowd.

I think it's obvious that the majority of the crowd didn't give 2 shits about the people who died and were there only to hoot and hollar for Obama. Pretty ****ing sad.

I think the fact Obama accepted an invitation to give a speech like this at a university proves in itself how they expected it to go.

I honestly think he was as non-political as HE thought he could be, but it was still not good enough. Clinton did a lot better after OKC when there was similar (though less) political weirdness about the event.

Yeah, radical. That of course is what followed immediately. I'm going to have to disagree completely that there is anything wrong with either. And I'll be shocked if anybody tries to make a point out of that publicly - oh, I'm sure right-wing websites will belabor every word.

I also fail to see where it "was all about him," as somebody claimed.
Didn't Obama call the sheriff who blamed RW nutters for this and thank him (or something)?

Obama may or may not have made it about him, but the crowd sure made it about him.

Part of the problem is his speech was too damn long. Twice as long as Clinton's after Oklahoma and 3 times longer than Bush's after 9/11.
