SSD Hard drives

How many of you have one in your computer?

I have a 2.5 yr old computer with one but my computer guy for some reason didnt put the operating system on it, so I heard Im probably not getting the full effect of it.

Im going to upgrade computers and going to buy another SSD, really only need a 128GB one. Ive been reading that you can keep archived files and stuff u dont really use very much on the regular HD with no problems. Anything I need to know? These things easy to put in and install by an idiot? (Me)

I have 2. I use one for games, the other for my system. All my video/audio files are still on regular drives.

I have one in my laptop that my system is on and my laptop is up and running in 10 seconds or less. I have one in my PC that I store my games on and I have another one sitting in a box that I want to put my system on, but I'm being lazy about it and haven't done it yet.

I stick them in servers but not in my PC. I don't really do much gaming these days and when I do they aren't exactly performance demanding ones so it's not a big deal to me.

Nope. They're going for about $250 on Amazon.

I purchased a 1TB Samsung EVO during Amazon's Black Friday sales for $349 but they're back up to $449.

SSD for gaming is a complete waste of money. The only benefit to using SSD for gaming is better load times between maps/scenes/etc. There is non discernible performance difference between gaming on a SSD vs HDD. The GPU/CPU/RAM does all the performance critical work. The hard drive does very little. The way games perform just isn't really that dependent on HD speed.
