*.* NEW- 2014 General Fitness Thread *.*

I guess we filled up the old one... http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=280149

Welcome to 2014! Now get your ass in top physical condition!

No one else started it so here it is!

**From the 2013 Thread**

If you want to get back into lifting, or need a new lifting routine, START HERE:

http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wi...inner_Programs

If you have questions about the SS programs, look here:

http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ

Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started.

Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE:

http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm

If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point.

you should be able to gradually increase the clen, about 10-20 mcg per day until you are up to 100-120 a day. Run that for two weeks, two weeks off, then two weeks on again. Second cycle you should be able to start at your full dose and not have to ramp up.

I'm thrilled to let you guys and gals know that I broke into the 200's today! Officially at 298.0, a loss of 2 pounds, 15 ounces.

That's 119 pounds from my high weight of 417 at the beginning of the year, and 73 pounds away from my goal of 225.

I'll post a before/after picture when I get a chance!

Thanks for the encouragement, it's awesome.

You will retain less water on prop, due to less aromatization. I much prefer prop over any other T (have not tried phenylprop yet), but can only get CYP from my TRT doc. Are you able to get prop from him, or are you running your own TRT? The only annoying thing about prop is injection frequency because of the half life (EoD minimum).

Yeah, I have a TRT center that will send it to me and I don't mind the EOD dosing schedule. It causes a little more soreness in the injection site but it's not horrible.

I'm going with 50/50 for 2 weeks, off for 2 weeks and then on for 2 weeks which takes me close to show time. Maybe stop 4-5 days out. It makes you shaky as hell though lol.

Squatted 195 for three reps last night. New PR there. There's another girl at the gym who deadlifts 225 like I want to be able to. She was squatting across from me and asked me how much I was going to do when I was putting 10s on to get to 175. We talked for a few minutes. Deadlifts are just her thing, and she wishes she could squat better. Squats are my thing, and I wish I could deadlift better. She has little range of motion in her ankles though, where I will get better on my deadlifts. I want this chick's arms though. However, I did have a guy I dated compliment me on my back and shoulders once. Best compliment ever.

Also, thanks to going to the gym, I have a new appreciation for arms. Still not into the puffed looked, but if a guy has the nice, dense muscle tone....yeah.

I don't know if it's the fact that I wish I could lift more with my arms, making it a jealousy thing, but it's started to be the first thing I notice on a guy.

So, I do have a question to pose.

I've lost a lot of weight fairly quickly. While it's starting to look better, this has left the "loose skin" or "pocket fat" in certain places like my tummy and inner thigh. I know it takes time to tighten that up. I'm just wondering if there's anything that will help? Water intake? Vitamin C? I've heard different things. Thought I would see what you all have to say.

Finally worked my way back up to deadlifting 2x my bodyweight for 3 reps and pulling singles in the low 4's again. Hopefully my hip pain stays under control on deads because it's been feeling horrible on squats lately.

Weekly weigh-in...had a plateau week this week...just lost 3 ounces, which does bring me to exactly 120 pounds lost since the beginning of the year.

I worked my ass off this week...rode the mountain bike almost 30 miles on Saturday with 2,000 feet elevation climb, and only missed the stationary bike yesterday...but compensated for that by doing the Schmoney dance about 10 or 11 times during both the Chiefs and Royals games.

Food was good, status quo. So I'll just press on, keep working, keep eating right, and hopefully see numbers next week.

Weight is 297 and 13 ounces, down from 417.

Maintain your weight for a year. If the loose skin is still there your only option is surgery.
