Geno Smith vs Alex Smith - It's on.

It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.

Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him.

So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period?

Put your ten pounders on the table and make a vote

Alex: 11 wins
Geno: 8 wins

Lets face it; the Chiefs WILL lose some games with Axl at the helm. If one of those games includes a Sah-weet ass-polishing by Geno Smith, all the better. The Dorseid must be humbled for their supreme short-sightedness, arrogance, and puppy love of Average Axl.

So let it be written, so let it be done. Sweet Dick Pharoh has spoken.

Gosh, wasn't there a first round pick in Chief's history....number 5 overall, I think, that turned out to be a bit of a "late bloomer"...yet I can't, precisely, recall his name at the moment.

Len me your ears, can anyone help me remember that Dawson dude?

It's amazing how all the same arguments that defended Matt Cassel for 4 years can just be washed, rinsed and rehashed in defense of Alex Smith!!!

So convenient for you mindless homers.

Look, vaGeno got exposed last year in the Big 12. He couldn't win games against good competition, his numbers dropped off. He fattened up in the Big East but looked far less remarkable in a major conference.

Clearly vaGeno is a developmental prospect who isn't ready to get the keys to an NFL offense and every team in te league judged that.

There is no way he will be able to win the starting job over Sanchez, IMO. He clearly is not ready for the pro game and, crappy as Sanchez is, he does have several years of experience in the league. Ryan is going to feel better about starting the season with Sanchez.

vaGeno will get the call later in the year when Ryan is hoping to save is considerable ass, but not out of the gate.

Alex Smith as played at a level the last couple of years that vaGeno Smith will never play at in the NFL, in all likelihood, least of all while playing for such a dysfunctional and lost franchise as the Jets.

Don't sell Chase short.

He's been backing up Drew Brees and they are good friends.

He's had to have learned something plus he's gotta ring.

I always said he just needs playing time.

Do you think I care what other people think?

I'm going to bump this thread in three years and have a good chuckle at 100+ morons.

I have a better chance of having a threesome with Jennifer Anniston and Cortney Cox.
