Schefter: Chase Daniel for RG3 trade?
Five trades that should happen on ESPN. Scheffer mentioned this one:

I think RG3 would be a good fit for Reid. But there's no way we pick up his contract with Alex Smiths still on the books.

You're going to be bidding against other teams anyway. There's no way RGIII takes a discount and signs prior to free agency for the Chiefs. To execute this trade, an extension will already have to be agreed upon prior to the trade. Either RGIII would have to be willing to give a discount (because he'd certainly have more leverage in F/A), or the Chiefs would have to feel good about overpaying him.

Neither seems like a likely option. Him hitting F/A and letting the market dictate his value seems more realistic. And the Chiefs wouldn't have to give up anything in return.
