Then it would be common opponents. Our loss to Oakland and their loss to Denver would be a wash. We both lost to the Rams. We beat Baltimore and they beat Seattle. So the way I see it, if they lose to Baltimore and we beat Seattle, we clinch the AFC West.
Shit, that’s right. This shit is so confusing at times.

Final conclusion:

Any Chargers loss + Chiefs win = Division Champs

LA is going to lose and the Chiefs are going to kick off Sunday night and know that they are a win away from basically locking up HFA. I can’t wait.

We are talking about Seattle fans here, very timid folks that drive Priuses and drink soy milk. I make almost every Chiefs game there and they are usually quite quiet after we beat them, losing to them not so much.
Last time we played them in reg season there, it was an ass whopping and there was 10,000+ Chiefs fan partying leaving the stadium while the seahawk fans were quiet. It was a sea of red taking over Seattle and I expect the same again.

For Seattle yesterday, S Bradley McDougald and their 2nd string RG left with knee injuries and did not return. It’s possible that Seattle could play this game with a 3rd string RG, Ethan Pocic.

Awesome! We can sack Wilson a bunch of times prior to him completing a comeback on us.

Pocic is their 3rd strong OL? The guy they took in the mid 2nd rd last year?

Evidently yes, the 2nd guy was in for Fluker, he then got hurt, and Pocic came in.

We were 100% always going to be favorites over the Seahawks and 100% deserve to be. And we will cover that spread. It doesn't hurt that they just lost to some dude called Nick Mullens FFS.

Patrick Mahomes is not gonna be an underdog to a team that got lit up by Nick ****ing Mullens.

The interesting potential question for the Chiefs is if the Ravens beat the Chargers (which they'll obviously know the outcome of before the Seattle game, since the Ravens/Chargers game is on Saturday), is how aggressively do you play the Seattle game which becomes essentially meaningless, in terms of playoff ramifications?

I am not suggesting that the Chiefs bench all of their starters, but do the Chiefs take a more cautious approach with playing injured players in the Seattle game? Are the Chiefs more conservative in their play calling to "save" plays for future, more meaningful games?

A Seattle win would clinch the division in that scenario. They have a ton to play for regardless.

Not jaded, I picked KC to win this game, I’m just surprised we aren’t like a 1 point dog at their place on Sunday night.

No. Play to lock it up and use Raiders game for partial rest

If we rest during the Seattle game there is NO guarantee we beat Oakland in week 17. That simply would not be a professional approach. They’re the Raiders not Murray State. KC will go all out vs Seattle no matter what.

Yep. The message in that building all week will be that this is a must win game, they aren’t going to change that up just because LA loses. It’ll just mean they can win the division outright Sunday.
