Google is weird. They do these kinds of things with small launches so that they can see how things are going and make adjustments before they ramp it up. At some point, they will care about sales, but for now, they just want a handful of people to try it out so that they can see how it goes.

Update... have had this for two weeks now. (Formerly had sprint.)
This service is pretty stellar thus far. Switching from WiFi to a carrier in the middle of the call gives Zero interruptions.... don't even notice it. Previously, the signal in my office and at home was sketchy (the brick surroundings seem to shroud it significantly). However, now with the WiFi calling I do not have to think twice about it. |
