I agree, mostly. There are plenty of European teams that depend on brute force though. It's also not as easy to stamp out as you'd hope. You want some force in there.

The answer, as always, is to improve ref training and the quality of players.

The Refs are under strict rules to prevent goals. I think that is evident by watching games.

The english and germans come to mind... the spain/italy/french teams i think are much more fluid...

This has got to be one of the wildest weather-affected games I've ever seen. Ranks right up there with the monsoon at arrowhead about a decade back..
