Geno Smith vs Alex Smith - It's on.

It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.

Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him.

So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period?

Put your ten pounders on the table and make a vote

Alex: 11 wins
Geno: 8 wins

Geno Smith showed time and again that he could not handle defenses that pressured him in college. That is reality. Take your head out of your arse.

Yeah, we will be hearing this over and over for the next few years as the idiots that wanted to take him at 1.1 will be using it as an excuse.

Can you imagine the utter chaos this board would be in right now if Alex Smith had a performance as awful as Geno's last night?

Clay would be going on a rampage. One hand typing on CP and the other stroking it to his Anti-Alex euphoria.

I will. He has not given me any reason to think otherwise. So glad we didn't draft this waste at 1.1
We wouldn't have drafted this POS in the 2cd round either.

There would be quite an uproar. Alex played really well as I suspect he will for you this year.

That is a given. I would be curious to know how big the uproar would have been had we actually drafted Geno and he had a game like that.

Well, I am an admitted old fart, and I remember a few things about the "old" NFL. I'm not unwilling to learn about "today's" NFL. I think I'm starting to figure it out.

Check me on this:

It doesn't actually matter which team catches the ball at the end of a pass. The important part is the distance the ball travels through the air by the quarterback that threw it.

If your quarterback consistently throws passes that go many yards through the air, regardless of which team catches it, he is an elite franchise quarterback, and your team actually has a chance to win the Superbowl.

If your quarterback rarely throws passes that go many yards through the air, and the only players that catch the ball are players on the same team, your quarterback sucks, and you have zero chance of ever winning a playoff game. You MIGHT back into the playoffs, but you will absolutely never win.

Am I getting this right? Now I gotta figure out how they tie the scoreboard to those passing yards and I'm home free.

This new NFL is kinda quirky, it's like learning to play cribbage.

I don't think it matters if Geno throws interceptions, does it? What was his total yardage on them.... Right?

Dinny Blues has gotten ultra aggressive lately. He's been hunting Clay down and trying to bait him and everything. Posting more often than he has in years.

If we're not careful, he'll actually catch him, cook him up, and eat him for supper. Then Kyle will have some sort of lawsuit on his hands, I'm sure.
