Maclin has now set an all-time Chiefs record for receptions in a season by a WR with 87 (and counting). No one has ever caught more passes in a year as a Chief apart from Tony Gonzalez.

At the moment: 87 receptions, 1088 yards, 8 TD.

Jeremy "Not an upgrade over Bowe" Maclin is having a pretty nice season, and is the best free agent signing by the Chiefs in recent memory.

With a more aggressive QB that's probably more like 90-1300-12. But oh well. Great player, not some kind of system receiver like people thought he might've been a year or 2 ago.

Jaye Howard is a great value signing, and had played a large role in keeping Poe fresh, but Maclin's presence has evolved the entire offense to point where it can thrive with the loss of Jamaal.

I'm not worried about value when looking at quality signings; I'm looking at their total impact, regardless of expense. It's not my money; who gives a shit?
