WV had time to drive the lane and draw a foul but elected to shuck up a stupid 3pt attempt. But never the less, a bad way to end a game, unless say a WV fan referee intervention maybe ? FTR, it could have been called a foul, not really much of one but was a case. I just don't see that it should have been called.

BTW, nice choke Texas!

While this is true, you have to acknowledge that several of their 3 attempts were guarded. Dumb shot selection.

EJ sure looks good at PG. It's not that he brings much more to the table than Taylor...he just doesn't throw it into the third row as much. This helps us immensely.

I thought EJ looked solid once again. And this time it was against good competition. EJ outplayed TT today for sure. TT isn't getting his job back.

Plus he's good for at least two alley oops a game. That is a easy set play call coming out of a timeout.

EJ was barely noticeable, which is a pretty good thing for a PG in that kind of a game. He didn't even make a turnover.

I'm not entirely sure why anybody would write TT off, though. He played pretty well, too.

TT did ok. But he also had some bonehead moments.

Guy who got the rebound dribbles up, tries to heave a 3/4 court shot.... and gets fouled during the heave. Hits his free throws, game over. Why the hell do you foul someone in a tie game trying to make a 3/4 court shot.
It's pretty rare I complain about officials.

However, that was the single worst call I've seen all year. It wasn't a shot attempt. It wasn't a foul. It makes me feel like the game was fixed.

Too many fouls, but you can't blame him with some of the shit they were calling. Heck, EJ had four too.

He had 3 assists and 1 turnover in 17 minutes...that's good. He was pretty under control as well.

One thing about Taylor. He's been playing better than Selby. I sure hope Selby hasn't checked out. I don't know what it is. Certainly he's a much better player than he's been showing, as could be seen in his first 10-12 games. He's just lost right now.

I don't think Selby even played in the 2nd half. He has no role on this team at this point. The problem is that he's never been disciplined enough to play within KU's system, and that certainly isn't going to change over the next few weeks.

The few minutes that he gets should go to Releford.

I agree at this point. Given another year to prepare and learn I think Selby could be unstoppable next year. You see the potential, but it's just raw. Just think what ppl thought of the Morris Twins their freshman year, and look at now.

I do wish we played Releford more. He doesn't really do anything wrong. He's a very good defender, and he's slithery in the lane. We will need him if we face a real good 6-7 wing player, but to be honest w/ you we put Morningstar on Burks most of the time if I remember right.

Selby has unlimited upside, and I really don't know how ****ed his draft stock will be after this season. I certainly don't think he's going to hurt his stock by staying in school another year.

I'm not sure there's anybody in the NCAA that could stop Burks if he's motivated to get to the basket, but Releford would seem to be this team's best option for players like him.

He can also hit the same 3's that Selby can and makes fewer mistakes.
