Poop Bad news - Page 8

So the last few months I had been having really bad stomach pain. Would last a few hours at most and would end with me throwing up blood. Started out only doing this about once a week or little more, then it moved up to a few times a week.

I'm hard headed and very stubborn, so I never went to the dr. I just figured my ulcer had come back so I changed my diet around and it felt better for a while. The girlfriend came home one night from a girls night early and found me throwing up blood and made me go to throw dr.

After a few tests and a few different Dr's they decided that I had stomach cancer. Which is fairly uncommon and very uncommon with someone as young as I am. Went back a few days later to see the oncologist and he confirmed that it was cancer and that it was stage 3. Which has a 5 year survival rate of around 20%. He said the low survival rate was due to the majority of people who have it are 70 plus and can't survive treatment. So he said I should be able to beat it. I told him that I have way to much ass to destroy before I die so I sure as hell ain't dying within 5 years. He laughed, girlfriend hit me. All was well in my world.

So I decided to tell you all because besides my girlfriend I haven't told anybody. I have known for about a week now. Thought I would share it with someone and since I have only met a couple of you ****s I figured I would share with all you.

they were older than me and missed the 60's revolutions and had never smoked pot in their lives...

My girlfriend's sister keeps recommending it to me..haven't taken her up on it yet..have to make sure the girlfriend is here..weed always made me really horny when I was younger..hopefully that side effect is still there

Both of my uncles smoked to help with the nausea. They were never pot smokers before, but they said it helped a ton.

Thoughts and prayers to you bro! my best friend got diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2005. he was still in good shape. he did not like what he was hearing from the oncologist/doctor and got second opinions and even went to the Bahamas to do a radical cancer treatment (not available in US at the time) that had an 80% success rate as long as you were still in good shape. it cost him $95,000 (insurance wouldnt cover it). he is alive today and the cancer is in remission. (he had neck/throat cancer). other than having a small scar on his neck and having his throat fried by radiation he is living a normal life.

Cancer treatment has come a long way since then. good luck to you brother and god bless you!

I will definitely give it a try after my next treatment..if it helps it will be worth it cause that feeling is horrible

Glad to hear he is still kicking ass..I'm glad he was able to get that treatment and beat it.

I have been looking into the Cancer Treatment Center in Tulsa that Hogfarmer talked about..read lots of good things and I'm pretty sure I want to give it a shot

So I have a new update from last week's visit to the dr

The cancer has started to shrink/go away..Dr said something about looking like it is now Stage 2 instead of 3 if I remember right

As far as treatment goes everything is going well..I have completely changed my diet and exercise even more than before..helps that the girlfriend is an awesome cook and pushes my ass to do everything..I'm pretty lucky to have here..she is making me quit smoking and I rarely drink anything but water and vitamin water now

Girlfriend did **** up and went on a girls night and came home a little sauced up and said that if I keep making improvements like I have been I get anything I want..I just looked up at her and the look of horror on her face let me know she knew she had ****ed up

Started smoking weed quite a bit now..it has helped out a ton with the sick feeling..it also helps me sleep better..I haven't slept well since my first deployment many years ago but after starting treatment it got worse..but with smoking I sleep like a baby..so that is great..the other great thing about smoking is that it still has the same side effects it did in high school which is giggle like crazy, eat everything in the house, then smash ass all night..girlfriend loved that for the first few days then she makes me sleep on the couch..something about she can't stay up late because she is a nurse and needs to save lives..I replied that I was trying to give her millions of lives on her face she could start by saving those right now..she didn't appear to appreciate the opportunity to get to work

Life is good..kicking ass and trying to get Lauren to stop being mean to me..kids are good..they still don't know what I have going on but I am going to beat it then put it behind me so that they don't worry about me..parents are helping anyway they can..ex wife even was nice and brought me over a cheesecake..I feed some to Lauren's cat first to make sure it wasn't poisoned..cat lived..I was upset until I ate the cheesecake and it made my heart happy again..oh I also lost 15 lbs after treatments started but I have added back 8..happy about that
