Just when you thought TacoBell couldn't get any worse
Waffle taco fans, say goodbye to that one-handed wonder you used to love — it seems Taco Bell is ready for a new face for its breakfast initiative. Enter the “biscuit taco.” Taco Bell’s new biscuit taco, which will hit national menus Thursday, is described as a “warm, fluffy, buttery biscuit, folded in the shape of a taco.” But that’s not all. The biscuit can be filled with a number of options, from bacon, egg and cheese to fried chicken with gravy or jalapeno honey. “This year is about making sure we continue to give people the food they crave in a way that’s unique to Taco Bell,” Brian Niccol, CEO of Taco Bell Corp, said in a statement. “Our Biscuit Taco delivers just that; it will reinvent the fast food breakfast experience by moving away from boring, round sandwiches and inserting bold tastes and flavors. Ultimately, we aim to make the breakfast day-part as famous as our late night.” The biscuit taco ranges from 369 calories to 471 calories depending on how decadent you want your morning meal. The new menu item is priced at $2.49 before tax and will be available at all Kansas City locations that offer breakfast. Read more here: http://www.kansascity.com/living/liv...#storylink=cpy |

Day off and while I'm normally up by 7 on days off I inexplicably slept until 10 this morning. I'll review it tomorrow. I'm getting 1 of each on the chicken. Gravy and jalapeño honey.

Ok. So I tried these this morning. 2 words come to mind.
They suck. I mean, they are ****ing horrible. I got 2 chicken biscuit tacos. 1 with gravy. 1 with jalapeño honey. The biscuit is very thick and flavorless. As is the gravy. The jalapeño honey is ok, but the chicken isn't very good either. Horribly seasoned and tortilla chips are used in the coating. In short, if you insist on trying these, you better hurry. They won't be on the menu for long. |

Bummer.
It does seem like biscuit+chicken+jalapeno honey butter would be nigh on impossible to screw up. Guess not.

Seriously, if you want something that's hot, cheap and quick, and not nearly as bad as you think. QTs Hotzis beat the shit out of McD, BK, JitB, etc.

The honey was decent. In fact I saved most of the cup to use later on my own cooking. If that works out I may try to buy some from them. It was honey though, not butter.
