Our interior defense was horrible. I doubt we get near as far as we are right now without that trade and the domino effect not because Perkins has been a great player. They needed an interior defender and got one even though he's a sack of shit today. Would I take Jeff Green coming off the bench over Perkins starting? **** yes! It was the right move at the time, and it did payoff in making us better defensively and developing other players. It also cost us in the Finals, but that's Scott Brook's fault solely. Some of you act you should just pack every scorer you can on a roster, and you will score 160 points a game. There is so many shots to distribute. Moves looks bad right now because Russell Westbrook is in the sky box. Hindsight is 50/50 mother ****ers!
okchief I assume you are talking to me since I am the only one that brought up the Perkins\Green trade and we have had this same discussion many times my friend. I hated the trade then and I still don't like it but I am looking at it from a Celtics perspective. I would have rather had kept Perkins and potentially gotten 1-2 more championships than having Jeff Green and lose in the first round. And I like Jeff Green and you and I were both completely wrong about him at least this year. I never thought he would do anything. As far as Perkins goes I think he is an ok player but maybe he is not in the right defensive system and he is not playing next to Garnett.

The point I was making though was that everybody saw that Perkins wasn't going to help them when a championship because as you stated many times last year he was worthless. So instead of paying him another $9 million this year they should have amnestied him and used that money on Harden and maybe sign Keynon Martin for cheap off the street, or something like that.

Pretty much agree except for the Perkins being a pretty good player part. The guy doesn't offer anything anymore. He's a complete liability. The previous 2 years he added value. This year I would take literally any other player. Sure he would fit better with a Chicago or Boston, but he's been garbage since his hip flexor injury last year. There are D League centers that know they could do more in this guys spot. He atrocious. Even Brooks is starting to shy away from playing him which is a testament to how awful he's been.

the Bulls are getting ****ed by officiating...not that it matters because they are down by 50 but Steve Kerr is 100% on his side and that's hilarious

Noah ejected too...

this officiating has embarrassed the league

hahahaha

this is lol funny
