Pretty great. It is a semi regular hang out for me. Kind of a divish bar. It looks like trouble but its a really interesting crowd this is a mix of real blue collar type guys and service industry and folks and really just a mix of decent people.

Egan's in Tuscaloosa is the best neighborhood dive bar I've ever been to.



Anyone driving through Tuscaloosa for any reason needs to stop in for a drink. People love this bar so much that there's an anthology of writing coming out in a couple of weeks about it. (http://www.brianoliu.com/lod/)

While I'm not form KC, here we have a hole-in-the-wall, The Brass Rail that's been open since prohibition was lifted and just across the street a casual sport's bar, Esquire, that has NEVER raised the price of their cheapest draft in their 40 years. They've recently started serving a pineapple marinated tequila that's nice to shoot though they've raised the price on those due to popularity, dang it.
