Mals' Chiefs: A Madden Franchise
Fed up with losing in the playoffs? Want to draft a QB? Want to fire Andy Reid?
The Chiefs won't do it, but I will. Tonight I dusted off my copy of Madden 2008 for the PC, grabbed an updated roster and off we go! First order of business: simulate the 2015 season. Stop worrying. Everything is fine.  Oops. We lost in the divisional round again.   Your Super Bowl champions:   Onto the offseason! (editor's note: I'm going to start leaving the score off the header so you guys can read the recap with a bit more entertainment value)
Week 6: Chiefs @ Raiders With $80 million in cap space the Raiders had a huge offseason (Earl Thomas, Jason Witten, Jermon Bushrod, Jabal Sheard, Captain Munnerlyn and William Moore) and have already roared out to a 3-1 start. Could the 4-1 Chiefs handle them? They couldn't handle Latavius Murray on the first possession, for sure. The Raiders took the opening kick and rammed Murray right down the Chiefs throat for a very quick 6-play, 73-yard TD drive that featured five handoffs to Murray.

The Chiefs offense didn't help matters. After Jamaal Charles ripped off a 13-yard gain on KC's first snap, the Raiders sacked Alex Smith three straight times.

Fortunately for the Chiefs, the Raiders domination didn't last. After a field goal drive, Marcus Peters shifted momentum with his first interception of the year. The pick led to a quick TD and a 10-7 Chiefs lead.

The Raiders quickly tied the score at 10, but then rookie speedster Chris Lamont did what he does best: make a big play. With 1:26 left before halftime he took a 5-yard pass and turned it into a 76-yard TD.

The Raiders then tied it thanks to a 40-yard TD catch from Jason Witten on the next possession, tying the game just before halftime. The game seemed to be turning into an old-fashioned Chiefs-Raiders shootout.

Unfortunately for the Chiefs, the Raiders then began their sack attack again. Khalil Mack nailed Alex Smith to start the second half. The Chiefs were having real issues blocking the Raiders at this point.

The Raiders then seemed to take control of the game, with two straight touchdown drives featuring Murray. First, he carried half of Kansas City's defense across the goal line.

After a costly drop from Lamont and a Chiefs punt, Murray then ripped off a 72-yard run and the Raiders seemed to be headed towards victory. To make matters worse, Lamont injured his elbow and would be sidelined until late in the 4th quarter.

The Chiefs refused to go quietly, though. Jamaal Charles ripped off a huge run, and a big Chris Conley catch set up a 1-yard plunge by Spencer Ware.

The Chiefs then tied the game with 5 minutes to go thanks again to Charles and Lamont. A big run moved the ball inside the 20, and then Lamont got wide open for his second TD of the day.

Murray then struck again, busting more tackles on a long gain and setting up his own 12-yard TD, his third score of the day, putting Oakland up 38-31. The Chiefs simply could not stop him.

So furious was Murray's running that he injured Peters as he willed Oakland towards the goal line.

The Chiefs had one last chance with 1:45 left to tie the game. But it was not meant to be, as two more sacks put them down for good.

A terrible game for a Chiefs run defense that held the Jets to 5 yards two weeks ago, and an even worse outing for the offensive line. Will Chris Lamont ever learn to catch the ****ing ball? The Chiefs will have to do better if they hope to beat Andrew Luck and the Colts next week. Code:

Fresh off their butt****ing in Oakland, could the Chiefs stop Andrew Luck? You already know they didn't, so the only question is: did they score enough to beat him? The Chiefs shockingly held Luck out of the end zone on his first possession, but bad news still reared it's middle finger.

Following the drop, Andy Reid went for it on 4th down, and of course the Chiefs didn't get it. Andrew **** immediately scored a touchdown, mostly by completely ****ing Marcus Peters with Donte Moncrief. In case you're not aware (you aren't), Peters is having a horrible sophomore season and leads the NFL in catches allowed. He gave up 7 in this game. That's like one for every Chris Lamont drop.

So how long is Maclin out? Lost for 6 weeks in Wk1 so shouldn't he be getting close?
Lamont not being a capable #1 has cost the Chiefs 2 wins thus far. Well that and their spectacularly bad run defense. A team that hasn't had a 100 yard rusher in 3 years just put up a 6+ YPC game against 'em.

Week 8: Chiefs @ Bills
It's here! The Chiefs mandatory, annual game against the Buffalo Bills. It's even real in video game land. Eric Berry is broken and on IR, Jeremy Maclin broke his foot 6 weeks ago and is now "doubtful" with a speed rating of 54, and the Chiefs have the 32nd ranked defense. So the game plan for this week is: pound the rock, eat the clock, don't take so much cock. Oh, shit. A week after getting toasted by Donte Moncrief, Marcus Peters is now going to try and get Sammy Watkins paid, too. He looks like he stopped to take a shit in the middle of Orchard Park. Thankfully Tyrod Taylor kinda sucks and the Bills only get a field goal.  **** it, I'm going derp. Derp is what we call an Alex Smith deep ball. The running game is CRUNK today.  Aw SHIT son. Rookie safety Keith Rhodes just laid a hit stick on Taylor. The Bills get a field goal but who cares?
