Black and Hispanic voters: thrash the GOP

ABC Exits:

Blacks 90-9
Hispanics 69-29

Do you think Hispanics also have a perception they're creating among whites? I bet you've never considered that all relationships are a 2-way street. Voting lockstep Dem (which, as you know, is a direct political disenfranchisement of white voters) is obv gojng to cause "perception" issues for them too right?

At the end of the day, they know that Republicans just don't like them, and don't want them in their party. It's like Archie Bunker inviting a black jew to join his lodge as a token, telling him at the same time that he wouldn't have to attend any meetings or other functions.

They know how you feel about them. You yourself are a shining example.

So what's your plan?

Republicans don't always do the best job of trying to make the immigration debate an economic one or drawing a bright line between legal/illegal - but they TRY. 90% of the time they try damn hard to make that argument.

And the Democrats (who get to control the narrative with a complicit media) turn it into "WHY DO YOU HATE BROWN PEOPLE?!?!?!"

I hate it, but I'm coming to PB's way of thinking on this one - there's no winning for Republicans with minority groups. There HAVEN'T been a slew of racist policies forwarded by Republicans and the policies they have put forward have been hugely beneficial for most minority groups. There HAVEN'T been heavy efforts to curb legal immigration or otherwise disenfranchise immigrants who get here through the proper channels. Yet you'd never know that by listening to the news or reading social media.

All this bullshit about evil racist Republicans is a nonsensical narrative apart from a handful of outliers. Meanwhile Democrats elected someone to the !@#$ing House who might as well have posted "Death to the Jews" on her Twitter feed. And the Republicans get called antisemitic more often than the Dems.

If I'm the GOP, I'm getting close to throwing my hands up here as well. I mean for ****'s sake, they can't win if their message won't be honestly portrayed anyway and lord knows it won't be. Instead what we'll hear is the 1 out of 20 who IS in fact a racist idiot being trotted out there by the left as clear representative of the Republican platform and that will be used to shout down the other 19 who simply want a solution to a serious economic problem.

Except, whites are the largest racial or ethnic component of the Democratic Party - majority, in fact.

What percentage of the Rapepublican Party is made up of blacks and Hispanics, Little Bitch?

Among whites, or among conservatives?

Doesn't matter anyway. You're trying to state the issue has a circular effect. I don't disagree. Of course it does.

But what you and DJ are essentially asking is, "How come these people won't side with a group of people who often use colorful, disparaging words to describe my ancestory?".

Probably for the same reasons you hate democrats who use ignorant, inflametory words to describe white folk. You think they're a bunch of ****ing idiots. Understandable. They are. How how could you side with a group of people who stubbornly, and inaccurately feel a certain way about your ethnic group?

I've long believed, and still do, that the politics aren't the problem. The politicians aren't even the problem. The rhetoric that comes from the PEOPLE is what causes the biggest rift. (Trump being the exception, as he expresses the rhetoric of the people)

Hispanics DO share some conservative values, despite what PB THINKS he knows. There is ground to be made there.

I understand that racism etc is not an accurate portrayal of the party. I also understand that many, many aren't as thoughtful as i, but much more reactionary. There is a feeling, and evidence that anti-hispanic sentiment exists with a section of Trump voters, whether you personally feel that way or not. When you look around, you see it. You'd have to be blind or willfully ignorant not to see it permeate through social media.

It angers people. People hold on to that anger. They correlate "That one thing that one guy said that one time" to the party, and for that person, it's forever associated. And every time they see something similar, it's reinforced.

TL;DR: People are assholes. People are emotional. People are also dumb. When you combine the three you get a wider divide. The solution? Less assholes and less dumb people. How do we get that? No idea.
