MO Proposition 3 Enlightenment

I have registered to vote for the first time in my life because I want to. Twice in my life I have registered and voted because somebody else wanted me to.

This is something that matters to me.

My problem is they write these things so difficult till a saintly old bossanovalist such as myself don't know what it means if I vote yes or no.

I can not believe that I am actually going to vote on a marijuana law that actually means something.

I am a political idiot moron dumbass. I study 5-note chords for sambas and bossa novas, so please be gentle.

your noob pal,
Dinny

Lots of regulations. $10,000 non-refundable application fee. Limited amount of licenses granted and there is a scoring process for applicants to determine who gets to and who doesn't. These apply to commercial grows.

Home grow for patients isn't the same. That requires a doctor and only 6 mature plants at a time.

So sounds like the state wants to wet its beak. Typical.

Every single person on the planet qualifies in my mind.
But yeah you'll legally qualify.
Im so happy for you.
It's almost like watching you people celebrate the Royals World Series.
Even if a lot of you have no idea how dramatically and wonderfully lives all around you are about to change.
It's that glorious.

I threw way more than 10k at the ground while dealing with more regulations than I even know and made **** of nothing this year.

Any link to this scoring process? Is there a benefit to being a minority?

I can't find any links to the amendment, just stories about it.

I worked on and helped a little with the funding of the campaign so I have the actual hard copy of the amendment that was attached to the petition sheets when I was collecting signatures.

I've read through it but don't remember seeing any verbiage in regards to ethnicity. A few things are: the character, veracity, background, relative experience of principle partners or managers, business plan among other things.

It's 13 pages and these are the longer legal size pages. Too big for my scanner unless I do each page twice - top then bottom.

Also, it has too many big words.

I split my ticket. Voted for one Dem, lady does a great job for our county. Wrote in in one case, one candidate, an R. Dumber than a box of hammers. Voted no on the doper stuff except the one with a 15%tax. If dope is legal it needs massive tax load to pay for many needed things, dopers will pay it, let it ride. Bingo needs to be free of stupid regs.

I can understand your sentiment. I just wasn't comfortable with that 15% going to Brad Bradshaw to be used at the whim of the Brad Bradshaw ran regulatory oversight board.

I just prefer that the vets get some aid with their costs on health care and amendment 2 does that. Plus I felt better having doctors and their patients deciding for themselves whether medicinal cannabis is a good choice.....instead of a lawyer overseeing his pals and all that tax revenue to make the decision.

I'm normally not a fan of government run outfits but in this case, I felt it a better alternative than Brad Bradshaw.

Oh and by the way, I'm not a doper. I just like for people to have the help with suffering. Watched several family members die from cancer and could have been helped. My dad was allergic to morphine but refused medicinal MJ due to the illegality of it. A god-awful death was even more awful then it had to be.

Sometimes the problem is with perception and stigma borne from ignorance. Over time, hopefully, that too is defeated.

Another one bites the dust. Many more to go.

Interesting issue it will be for the conservative Kansas Legislature in the next year to being able to deal with KCMO having dispensaries, and KCK still being illegal. I expect to see some bill in Kansas within the year for MMJ in Kansas. The vote in MO will force Kansas's hand to move faster than they would like.

Federally here in the US we are seeing the same issue being caused by impending Mexican legalization, as I predicted over a year ago. With Canada being legal, Mexico on it's way, the United States will have to drop federal prohibition in the country by the end of 2020 IMO. Reublicans know Democrats will use it as a campaign issue in 2020. Only way for them to not allow Democrats to use it as an issue is just to let the damn outdated policy die a sudden death. Expect to see Federal prohibition end like gay marriage. It will just happen overnight like.

Naw, let's just raise the drunkard tax and the cancer stick junkies tax instead. More money to be made off of them. More of them.

For those thinking of home grows. In my limited experience the best advice I can give you is this. #1 control your environment, cleaning, lighting, heat, cleaning, cooling, humidity, cleaning, water purification and ph, make sure your electrical is right. Did I mention cleaning??? Be sure to find proper nutrients that fit your grow style. If a simple flood to drain with mineral or organic based nutrients is the way to go for you, then do it. If your style is more a build your own type of supersoil, then do it. Want to go all out and buy some unneeded complex setup, do it. Just don't half ass it with inferior Walmart type products and expect a masterpiece. Be always on top of preventative maintenance. Treat for infestations even if you don't see them. Preventative maintenance in a grow room goes a long way to successfull crops.

#2 Have separate rooms for propagation/vegetative phases, flower phases and drying/curing phases all with the tools to control their environment. Learn to grow from seed. Learn to sex your plants. Learn how to make phenotype selections. Stay away from feminized seeds. They are inferior and carry hermaphroditic traits. Use regular seed. Learn different plant training techniques in vegetative cycle to maximize yeilds in the flowering cycle. One if the best ways for a home grower to do this is with combining topped plants with using super cropped and mainlining techniques. Don't underestimate the power of a proper vegetative cycle to build up that vascular cambium. Too many people don't put the proper attention to vegging their plants. And trust me, it shows in the lab numbers in the end. Don't put trust in another's clones with the expectation of them being clean. They won't be. Segregate and treat if you have to.

Growing properly is not easy or cheap. It is a daily grind. It is tough work. And if you haven't harvested a room full of pot before. oh the joys of trimming.

#1 step to a commercial license is retaining an attorney. Let them do all the paperwork.

#2 get a lawyer.

I mean the GOP could position it like they are finally getting rid of racist democratic progressive laws. The GOP however is not that smart.
