"Season" seems to be an overstatement. Only 6 episodes.

AMC starts things short pretty often lately. TWD (6), FTWD (6), Breaking Bad (7)...

For those praising it, what are you comparing it to? I'm intrigued, but haven't tried more than the first few minutes yet. There's just so much really good programming right now, and it's football season. But a ton of stuff is going on hiatus real quick.

Is it a complex plot, an exciting world a la GoT, is it just the exciting fights, visual, dialog.

What's the draw, or 'if you liked xxxx, you'll love yyy.'

It's like a live action version of Fist of the North Star, or Mad Max with martial arts.

Nowhere near the quality of GoT or any more "high brow" programming. It's fun and cool, but nothing deep or compelling.

Visually intriguing, good fights. I'm excited by the world, which I previously described as Steam Punk Samurai.

It's like every dude's pubescent fantasy. I don't like to fight, until I see my own blood then turn into your worst nightmare, kind of thing. It's a little silly really, but the fight scenes are great, the music is very good, its filmed really well, and a couple of the characters really shine.

I'd put it as a sci-fi-y combo of The Warriors and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman with a little Best of the Best sprinkled in.

I've watched the first two episodes and like it so far. I kind of like that they add in a little kung-fu type cheese into the fight scenes.

Definitely popcorn tv, but I think they could open up the world a bit for season 2, give us some more details on the history and politics of the region, without getting too far away from what made the show entertaining this year. Namely the fights.

And the history has to be incredibly involved, doesn't it? The entire 'baron' structure and the rise of the original 7 (which we know is at least 1 generation and several decades past) would be pretty interesting. The growing pains that come with essentially re-building a feudal society around little more than hand to hand combat? Shit yeah, sign me up for that.

If this were to take off like TWD did or Breaking Bad, a prequel style spinoff would be easy.

A little pissed about the finale. They didn't resolve anything. They basically left you hanging on everything. I can see them leaving something hanging for you to want to come back next season but if they are going to roll like that I might not be back.

Man, how much resolution could you have wanted. If they want to have a series, they can't very well have Sonny escaping and M.K. laying waste to everyone.

It was a 6 episode arc; if they were going to go resolving stuff that quickly, they'd run out of material by halfway through season 2.

I thought it was a solid wrapup though I will be sorely disappointed if Ryder has a significant role next season. That guy pretty much sucks.
