So after spending a few days with this album, I have to say that the one performance that stands out about all the others is...

Metallica.

There's so much greatness on this album (I'm talking to you, Glenn Hughes) but the Metallica medley is above and beyond...

I know this is a Dio tribute album thread, but the Yngwie stuff got me thinking about his music. Used to love his stuff. I wore out that Odyssey album. But the more I listen to the old stuff now, I'm with Parker in the fact that I like the first 2 albums much better. Odyssey is too much 80s hair band.

Oh and FTR Yngwie Malmsteen is sill a badass. Saw him on one of the last shows of the season of That Metal Show recently. He was still tearing it up.

Just now listening on youtube. I'm kinda...meh. I guess I gotta give it more time, but I thought Last in Line was particularly weak. Which is surprising considering what a big fan Jack Black is.

So far, I don't feel the need to run out an buy this.

Dude, the flute solo totally makes the song.

And the best songs are on the back half. Glenn Hughes singing "Catch the Rainbow" is pretty cool.
