It's 1969:
On Jan. 24th I go to Madison Square Garden and see Jim Morrison and the Doors. On January 30th I'd go to the top of Apple Corps headquarters and watch and listen as the Beatles played their last concert together. On February 15th I cross the pond to The Town Hall in Birmingham, England to see T.Rex open for David Bowie On April 18 I go to Memphis, TN and watch Jimi Hendrix open for the Monkees. On April 27th I go to Mother's Club, Birmingham, England to see Pink Floyd and try to talk my way into going into the studio the next day as they are recording Ummagumma. On July 4th-5th I head to Atlanta for the Atlanta International Pop Festival to see Led Zeppelin, Spirit, Butterfield Blues Band, Janis Joplin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Johnny Winter and a dozen more artists. On July 31 I head to the International Hotel in Vegas for the opening show of Elvis Presley's 1969 Comeback Tour On August 8th I'd stand at the corner of Abbey Road and Alexandra Road outside Abbey Road Studios and get my photo taken with the Beatles as they crossed the street. From August 15th to 18th I'm at with 400,000 freaks at The Woodstock Festival. On October 19th I make it to The Electric Factory in Philly to see The Who. Oh yeah, gotta see some football: January 12 let's go to the Orange Bowl in Miami to see Broadway Joe beat the Colts in Super Bowl III. October 4th we head to Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama and watch Ole Miss quarterback Archie Manning complete 33-of-52 passes for 436 yards and two touchdowns and run 15 times for 104 yards and three touchdowns. Yet Ole Miss loses to Alabama 33-32. And on On December 20 we brave the cold in New York City as Willie Lanier makes a passionate plea for the Chiefs defense to make a valiant goal line stand against the New York Jets in the AFL Divisional playoffs. If not for that stand, the Chiefs don't make it to Super Bowl IV. Yeah, I've got too much time on my hands tonight.... |

See my parents and other relatives-but not interact with them. Not BTTF type.
That is the greatest movie ever. I would love to see if the 50's was as great as some claim.

Just off the top of my head, I had to skip breakfast Tuesday. Maybe I could go back and rectify that.

The ascension would be the first I think. Would really need to think it through though. Lots of history and science stuff. WWII events, the Pyramids, Stonehenge, the 1970 Super Bowl.
On a personal level, if I could go back in time I would of signed up with the army recruiter that talked with me in school. 18 years old +20 years service=38 years old and retired, DAMN!! Fumbled the ball there |

I would love to have gone to the Smile Jamaica concert. It was during a very rough time in Jamaica because of the 2 opposing political factions who were fighting for control over the island.
Just 2 days after a political assassination attempt was made on Bob Marley's life – resulting in him getting shot along with his wife Rita & manager Don Taylor – he boldly continues on his musical mission to play at the Smile Jamaica Concert at National Heroes Park in Kingston, Jamaica on the 5th of December, 1976! |
