****Official 2019 NFL Draft Discussion****

Post any interesting thoughts - feel free to create a new thread that flows with the timing of the actual draft.

A few of my thoughts.

I'll say we get Byron Murphy first pick and then possibly manage to get Justice Hill later than expected due to last year's injury.

Players I wouldn't mind:

-- Ed Oliver (duh)
-- Nasir Adderley (again, 'duh')
-- M. Brown
-- AJ Brown
-- Hakeem Butler
-- Rock Ya Sin
-- Fant (doubt it)
-- Hockenson (don't see Brett drafting 1st round)
-- Deebo Samuel (not at 29 but should fall) (BIG FAN here!) value pick?
-- Justice Hill (absolutely should fall) (BIG FAN here!) value pick?

Let's talk about it!

true. He looks SO MUCH like Tamba Hali did on tape; and Tamba had a lot of the same agility questions-it's why a lot of people didn't like the pick. I think they'll be similar players in the NFL too.

I expect KC to go 'inside out' with the rush concept; it just looks like the plan personnel-wise. High motor bull rush guys at DE fit well and Ferguson is definitely one of those guys.

I can't really project where Samuel will drop to, any chance Deebo will drop to the 3rd?

there are about 9 or 10 super TEs entering Thursday's draft.

I'd be down. We need to re-stock the WR position all things considered.

IF somehow one of the offensive weapons were to drop to 29; be it a AJ Brown or Hollywood, or Metcalf, or Hockensen/Fant... it's not like keeping Mahomes' cupboard full is a bad thing. If we were to lose Tyreek and Watkins does his usual 2/3 of a season then we'd be in trouble at WR.

We need to pick up 3 defensive players in this draft that will become starters if not immediately, soon.

I'd like something like this:
1-Byron Murphy
2-Zach Allen
2-Juan Thornill
3-Mecole Hardman

something like that.
I'm not too concerned about position, either. If Bradbury's there at 29 and Veach thinks he's the best player on the board and can't find a reasonable trade down offer, then go ahead and take him. The strategy of saving up for your QB's ultra expensive upcoming contract involves drafting well, and drafting well means taking the best players you can get, not just the ones that fit what you need right now.

If the end of the 2nd round happens and we don't have the holes at CB and DE filled with somebody, I guess that's kind of unfortunate, but I'd rather keep those holes open than sacrifice those picks to somebody who's not going to be as good of a contributor to our team's success.

I doubt it. but all mocks are all over the place, so who knows? Emmanuel Hall might slip to the 3rd and he'd be a good grab for the Chiefs.

Yeah I just watched that one HL reel - he looks to have phenomenal hands - big dude - also I didn't catch him blocking on any of the plays they showed, I'd imagine he's good at that too. Doesn't seem to do much by way of YAC, but that's okay sometimes, especially w/ Pat back there tossing it.
