This was definitely going back for a TD if he had caught it.

There is a real double standard here at work with Smith vs Siemian.
It was. Didn't think was an automatic pick 6. With Kelce right there and players in front of Chung, it wasn't a guatanteeed pick 6.

Relax on the homer crap dude. Nobody outside of the Alex fans is crowning Alex as the messiah.

The OL was not catching him, Smith and whoever that WR was were on the ground.

That is six points, homer.

*shrug* Siemian does have a little more ability to throw on the run than Green did, but I stand by the comparison, especially since Green was a lot more mobile before the knee injury.

Worst QB might actually be Phillip Rivers.

Everytime i watch Semian play i think to myself, "Why is everyone so down on this guy"?

I feel like he gets a lot of un deserved heat. He has some talent. He makes tough, contested throws. Last night he was absolutely on fire.

Rivers OTOH....it's been a long while since he's been in the conversation as a top QB. He's incredibly turn over prone, wilts under pressure, one of the worst 4th qtr QB's in the current game and his arm strength doesn't look quite as live as it use to.

I know Rivers has the resume, but going off week 1, he very well may have been the worst. And that's been a pattern for awhile now.

Yes. He's not a clone of Smith. Smith had a stronger arm coming out and a lot more mobility. Still has more mobility. Siemian ran a 4.94.

Siemian and Green are similar in that they have good, not great, arm strength, a bit of mobility and pretty good accuracy when they have protection and can set up correctly.

Also willing to throw the ball down the field and into tight spots. That's not Smith, either.

They're also almost the exact same size.

Based on their stats, Alex and Trevor are nearly identical except that Alex is a little more accurate (61.9% vs 59.5%) but Trevor has a higher YPC (11.8 vs 11.0).

Of course, the largest difference is that one has started 137 games and the other has started 15.
