Unpopular Opinion: McDonald's Buttermilk Chicken Tenders

are better than Chick-Fil-A. Don't get me wrong, I like me some Chick-Fil-A, especially the spicy sandwich. However, McDonald's (newish) buttermilk chicken tenders are outstanding. The signature sauce is great as well, although not as good as Chick-Fil-A sauce.

2 tenders for $2 can't be beat.

Let's hear it.

Can someone explain to me why in the **** Liberty decided to build 3 new chicken places right by each other in the span of a year or so? Zaxbys, Slim Chickens, and Raising Canes, on top of Chick Fil A and KFC already being in the area. Is fast food chicken really that popular?

I wish we had a Zaxby's near us. Their little sandwiches with Zax sauce are ****ing delightful.

I do like Zaxbys. Big part of the equation is the fries, and they've got wrinkly fries with some pretty ****ing good seasoning. Their branded sauce is also ****ing good, to me at least.

Slim Chickens is already on my shit list, OTOH. Disgusting, stale fries when the place was relatively busy and new. House sauce was pretty much mayo with seasoning in it. Blech.

They zone it for food, not what kind, If I had killer chicken I'd open near competition, if not then the other side of town by Sonic. In the meantime is there anyone who's not located at Barry Rd and I-35? I hate going into that part of Liberty.

If you want fried chicken:read SR's thread on it but stay the **** away from Gus'.

Liberty didn't really decide it. The owners decided it, probably after some research

Don't they have to apply for some type of permit to build? You'd figure they'd tell them that there's 2 other places building. At least Slim Chickens and Raising Canes are right by the high school so it makes a tiny inkling of sense.

There was a restaurant 1.5 blocks from my house that had great chicken tenders. It opened about a year ago and went out of business last week. It was kind of sad, but I could see it coming. The management was very lackadaisical.

Those McDonalds tenders are horrible.

I tried the ones at both. I didn't like either that much to try them again. But ChickFilA is more about them being overpriced. They aren't as good as the price that they put on it. I am looking forward to trying Slim Chickens, and Zaxby's one day soon. It's just a shame that I'll need to wait for an opportunity to try Chicken Xpress
