****The 2018 NFL Draft Thread**** (No Spoilers)

Let's ****ing do this.

Last year was a one-of-a-kind, so let's hope the luck carries over to this year, with Brett Veach at the helm for the first time.

Rules:
1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's McCaffrey to Tampa) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").

Don't be a dick.

Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny.

I'll also be starting threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. Pure knee jerk gold to reference in the future.

*Note: For 2017 hilariousness, view that thread here.

Mayfield to the Browns would be a big time pick / huge gamble

dude's either going to light it up, or bust hard. there's no in between with him, IMO.

I couldn't stand him when he was in college....but.....I'm sort of coming around to him. I sort of like his swag. but that swag will be very polarizing; and if he's stinking up the joint, won't be well received.

Like others have mentioned, I'm still on the Mahommes high; and it's nice to watch all the chaos, knowing we finally got our QB.

Eh.

Of the whole group, I think his floor is the highest once you factor in Rosen's health.

The Browns of all things can't ****ing miss completely, again.

What Matt Miller has heard about the Chiefs.

Quote:
Kansas City Chiefs: With no pick in the first round, general manager Brett Veach might get bored and fire the phones up to move into the first 32 picks. Scouting sources think interior offensive line, cornerback and edge-rusher are the priorities for Kansas City.
Interior OL is the sleeper pick. Frank Ragnow or Braden Smith at 54 (if we stay) would not surprise me at all.

I can't see edge rusher being a priority over DL.

Yeah, and I agree somewhat on the potential upside... it's the attitude that gets me and I don't know that CLE can follow up Johnny Football's monumental busting with this guy.

Pretty much this but he is the most talented QB in this draft I think. I just don't know if he has it between the ears to keep his shit together.

Too much like Johnny Football in his mentality it seems.

Didn't know who Frank Ragnow was but NFL.com says he's a center that also played guard with good size and power. Sounds like an Andy Reid type of guy.

I'm not impressed with any of the QBs. If I'm Cleveland, I trade #1 to Buffalo for their two first rounders and other picks. 3 top 25 picks, 3 2nd round picks, plus whatever others they could land in the trade??? They could fill a lot of holes this year and wait for better QB talent later

Cleveland has been doing that stupid shit for years. Their record is 1-31 in two years. Time to stop ****ing around and get their guy.

His projection goes against every analytic piece of data. I first watched him vs Iowa and was like this is the guy people are saying is a top QB? Yah, I’m a homer and love Mahomes so I’m good with our decision. Who’d you rather have MHM Mahomes or Allen?

How many "guys" have they drafted the last several years? Tyrod isn't Brady, but he's also better than anyone they've had in years. Build the roster and wait for an actual QB. I don't see the "stupid shit" in this strategy

Sign me up. I really like Green as a developmental interior rusher at 3 tech. Needs to bulk up.

If it’s OL, I’m praying James Daniels falls but I’m good with Ragnow.

Ragnow would be a great pick. Could play him at LG, then if Morse leaves slide him to center.

I think they'd have to trade to the first to get him though.

I've also seen on twitter a lot of thoughts that Hurst goes way later than thought. Maybe like 4th or 5th round.
