Here is the thing though. Say we bring in Richard to be our DC and he does at least an average job....if not better than average. You know he's gone after next season because someone is going to offer him a HC job. And now we're right back where we started.

I want Chris Hewitt from the Ravens. That probably won't happen either.

If the Chiefs are planning on going on a massive free agent spending spree to improve their defense like the Giants did before the 2016 season, then sure hire Spags.

Otherwise Spags' track record as DC during the past 10 years has been mediocre.
