Kelce is signed through 2021, Hunt and Mahomes are one year into their rookie contracts. Hill is entering his 3rd season. He will be the first one of them due for an extension. I expect him to get his deal done. The one who could be in danger would be Watkins in two years. That's when Hill would be getting paid, and if they have to choose between the two of them, then Hill could be the one in danger. I guess that it all depends on who is the most productive between now and then. But if Hill continues to improve, I can't see him walking.

You probably don't pay Hunt. He goes through his rookie deal then you string him along for a few more years before letting him go. You don't pay RBs big money unless they are HoF material. Hunt might be very good but i doubt he's HoF.

Fisher and Watkins won't be kept for those amounts. Don't forget that the salary cap number will be significantly higher in 2020.

I seriously doubt that Watkins will be on the team at $21 million. He will either be extended where the cap hit can be reduced, or he will be gone. Plus, there are ways to move around cap money. Players can restructure or be cut. But this is 2018. Let's just enjoy the next 2 years and worry about that in 2020.

I think you meant $14M. He’ll count for $7M against the cap if released in 2020, not $21M.

But yeah I think the idea is to hopefully get to the SB and win it in the next 2-3 years much like other teams with cheap QBs have.
