I think your current bids still count. You just can't raise bids.

We'll need some tweaking on this because you can cheat a little and keep more than 53 on your roster for a while if you're done bidding on free agents, so it's an honor system right now to keep your roster at or below 53.

I say all this not knowing cdcox's actual programming, but I think that's how it works. Will the first person who hits a roster size of 54 let us all know if we don't hear from cdcox before then?

I'm not wild about the roster management after you sign a free agent. I just signed a guy out of desperation and would rather not have to cut anyone on my roster right away because my new signee could eventually get the axe. This happens in the real world with shitty players all the time, and just happened to Tavaris Jackson. I'd rather wait until free agency is done to have to trim our rosters back down.

Heh. I'm kind of realizing that, too. I think in the permanent system we'll actually allow that because we'll have a second free agency wave after the final roster cuts to 53. I think that's what cdcox and I have decided anyway. I need to go check my notes.

Now that I think about it, can you just cut the new FA immediately if you want?

The CB market is just insane. 60 for a 35-year old CB!??!?

Nice to see some signings roll in. I like the Demar Dotson signing for only 25.

Seeing how this has progressed is starting to change my strategy. The market dynamics have been a bit different than I expected.

Signed my first free agent! I'm hoping David Nelson pays off in 2013.

In the next 24 hours Springfield might be turning over 1/3 of their roster.

Question: do we have two absentee owners? What's happening to them?

(Sigh.) Yeah. I wish people would let me know if they're not going to do anything. In the long run we're setting up some rules to handle this type of situation and auto-run abandoned teams. In the short run they're kind of hosed and at some point I'll step in or bring in another owner. I've pm'ed those owners but haven't heard back from them about whether I can transfer ownership.

I'd be willing to take over ownership of another team, with the caveat that I'm not bidding on any free agents I want for my original team.

You want one in League 2? Let me talk to cdcox. We've got a few owners over there who are doing the absentee thing.
