ESPN is now reporting on how often Michael Sam showers with teammates

The St. Louis Rams' Michael Sam sleeps with and has feelings for men. He's gay. Though the U.S. is as gay-friendly as ever, there are still some people who don't grasp this concept.

Enter ESPN's SportsCenter, which is reporting on how Michael Sam is fitting in with his team. Because Sam is a gay man, this means reporting on which teammates are okay with showering in the same room as him, how often he showers, and whether or not he is creeping on his teammates.

ESPN's Josina Anderson reported:

Another Rams defensive player told me that "Sam is respecting our space" and that, from his perspective, he seems to think that Michael Sam is waiting to kind of take a shower, as not to make his teammates feel uncomfortable.

No other 2014 NFL rookies have been asked about their showering habits.

The fact that ESPN had to ask the question in the first place proves Long's point dramatically. A sports channel should not be asking about what happens in the shower, because it's so irrelevant to football. It's shitty journalism at best.

Even if he ends up just being a scrub who only plays special teams for his entire career, ESPN will still pump out stupid stories about him and Manziel. I love how their header for the Rams V Browns game was "Manziel vs Sam" when neither are starting players.

Talk about a circus.

ESPN is and has been the biggest joke for the longest time. Nothing but non stop big market sports talk and once in a while you get a clown with unique personality such as Tebow and Sam and the circus begins. Its unwatchable.

NFL Network has been taking a similar turn over the past few years as well. Its pathetic.
