Tell me about your beard.

So I'm one of those bald headed men with a luscious flowing beard. I've been growing it about a year now. Trimming it and maintaining it myself. Again...I'm bald, I haven't paid anyone to cut my hair in almost two decades.

Well for its birthday, I decided to treat my beard to a "professional" trimming at Sole Patch Men's Shop.

I was not impressed.

After telling my stylist to fade the sides and keep the length; she ended up about shortening my beard by about an inch and butchered the caterpillar that lived below my nose.

Needless to say, she set me back about 2 months of growth for $20. I could have done that myself and picked up a couple of 6-packs on my way home.

-anyway-

Do any of you with god-like beards have a place you like to recommend?

Also...conditioners, butters, oils...what do you like? I am still experimenting with these products.

And Tyler Bray.

For my entire life, I've though soul patches were the dumbest thing ever. But in the past month or so, I've suddenly changed my thinking and have been pondering growing one. What do y'all think?

My girlfriend used to try to give me shit about it, but I think she prefers it too. When I look in the mirror at myself with a white beard, I don't recognize myself.. but with a dyed beard, I do.

If you are ugly I would highly recommend growing a huge gnarly beard. My girlfriend's sister literally will not go out with a man without a huge gnarly beard. Perhaps that could be a niche market for some of you.

I had more gray hair in my beard before this season and now that gray has gone away!
