**** Official North Carolina vs Kansas Game Thread ****

Game time: 4:20pm CST.
As a KU fan I have no ill will toward Roy. At the same time, I hope KU demolishes UNC today.

Here is a part of Roy's press conference. I still admire the guy and his respect for KU hoops.

This is exactly how I feel. I still like Roy, but UNC fans make me dislike the program sometimes. They're definitely more likable than Duke of UK.

Well, I'm not going to call 58 a bunch of points, but to each his own.

Williams has 2 titles. He knows how to win games. He's won 700 games

Roy Williams was and still is a great coach. I was sad when he left. I wasn't angry, because I understood why he went back to North Carolina.

Little did I know that KU would hit such a grand slam by hiring Bill Self. He OWNS Roy Williams in the tournament, is at least as good a recruiter as Roy, and is a better in-game coach.

Bill Self is arguably the best coach in college basketball.

Sure, when you have the elite talent to outscore teams, you're going to win a lot off games. Roy's teams were a lot of fun to watch, but when they came out flat and/or weren't shooting well, it was so obvious they were going go lose... I remember getting that feeling 10-15 years ago. I don't get that feeling any longer, and it's no more obvious than the past two games and the tourney games last year.

I can't think of a guy I'd trade for Self. Izzo and Coach K maybe. I don't know.

I love the fact I picked KU now to win it all...

every time people start doubting them (like last year) or Self they continue to find ways to win...

if they get past Michigan they are Finals bound

Eh, if they get past Michigan they're most likely going to play Florida.

That's been the scariest team in our bracket since I first saw it.

If they wind up beating North Carolina, Michigan and Florida, nobody can say they had an easy path to the Final Four.
