Chiefs Career Milestones This Week.

Just so you know where we stand.

Relative to Chiefs' records:

Alex Smith passed Todd Blackledge to move into the #12 spot in career passing yards. He needs 30 yards to pass Damon Huard for the #11 spot, and needs 336 yards to move into the Top Ten.

Alex Smith moved into a tie for #9 all time in passing touchdowns, tied with Cotton Davidson. He needs 6 more to pass Steve Bono for the #8 spot.

Jamaal Charles passed Priest Holmes today to become the Chiefs' all-time leading rusher. I think I see a Ring of Honor spot for him at some point.

Alex Smith passed Kolby Smith, Matt Cassel, and Mark Bailey to move into 48th place in all-time rushing. He is currently 25 yards behind the #47 spot, which is held by ... wait for it ... Knile Davis.

Damon Huard continues to drop down the list. De'Anthony Thomas' 5 yards today vaulted him past Damon Huard into 137th place all-time rushing.

Dwayne Bowe is now 627 yards from surpassing Otis Taylor for the most career receiving yards by a WR (second all-time receiving after Tony Gonzalez).

Dwayne Bowe is second all-time in passing receptions, and needs only 426 more to pass Tony Gonzalez for the #1 spot.

Travis Kelce's yardage today put him into a tie with Eric Martin for the #100 spot in all-time receiving yards. Yes, he is already in the top 100 all-time. He needs 76 yards to move into the top 90, past Jeff Smith.

Jamaal Charles is ranked 20th all time in receiving yards, and needs 244 more yards to pass J.T. Smith into the #19 spot.

Jamaal Charles is ranked 12th all-time in receptions, and needs 19 to pass Priest Holmes into the #11 spot. He is currently fourth among running backs, trailing Holmes, Ed Podolak, and the #1 receiving RB Kimble Anders.

Knile Davis moved into 30th place all time in kickoff return yardage today, passing Jerome Woods. He needs 123 yards to break into the top 25, passing Ron Dickerson. FYI, Jamaal Charles is 8th all-time.

De'Anthony Thomas is currently 47th in punt return yardage, tied with Dantrell Savage. Frankie Hammond is 34th, just for your information.

Cairo Santos' three field goals today move him to 14th all-time, ironically passing his opponent today, Nick Novak. He needs three more to pass Connor Barth into the 13th spot.

Dustin Colquitt remains in 2nd place all-time in total punts. He needs another 251 to pass Jerrell Wilson into the #1 spot.

With his touchdown today, Jamaal Charles moved into a tie for 13th all-time with former kicker Tommy Brooker. Charles moved past Marcus Allen today. Dwayne Bowe needs three TDs to pass Allen himself, and is ranked 16th.

With Hali's sack today, he needs 8.5 to pass Neil Smith into the #2 spot since records began being kept. He is already 2nd in forced fumbles at 31 and needs 11 more to pass [hushed tones] Derrick Thomas [/hushed tones]

With Houston's sack today, he needs 7 to pass Bill Maas into the #8 spot all time.

Relative to NFL records:

Alex Smith passed Tobin Rote today to move into 107th place all time in passing yards. He moved into a tie with Trent Dilfer today for 113th place in passing TDs. He needs 1,399 more yards to move into the top 100 all-time in passing yards, and 11 TDs to move into the top 100 all-time in that category.

Jamaal passed four players today to move into 77th all time in rushing yards. He needs 54 yards to pass Neal Anderson, who was Walter Payton's replacement and now is linked to two of the greatest NFL players ever. He needs 1,644 yards to move into the top 50 all time.

Dwayne Bowe passed four famous players - Al Toon, Willie Gault, Mel Gray, and Deion Branch - to move into 136th place in receiving yards. He needs 19 yards to pass Cris Collinsworth for the next spot, and 930 yards to move into the top 100 all time.

Dustin Colquitt is currently 39th in all-time punting yardage, and needs 762 yards to pass Tom Rouen of some evil team for the next spot.

Tamba Hali is 66th all time in sacks (since records were kept), and needs one sack to pass Aaron Schobel and Elvis Dumervil for the #64 spot. If he gets six more sacks this season he'll move into the top 50 of all-time, tied with illustrious players like La'Roi Glover, Leonard Marshall, and (currently) Osi Umenyiora.
