Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

They make a 4 inch 12 gauge shotgun shell now? I know the 3-1/2 have been around for awhile. I have some XXX buck in 3-1/2, that's nineteen 32cal balls per bang :-)

Tannerite: Any of you guys try this stuff? I have 20 pounds on the way to drop some trees. I'm surprised this stuff is still legal, get it while you can.

It's time to get my Boyd Crowder on.

This is 20 pounds vs a trailer.

Another tannerite video with a 10 pound charge, bye fridge.

One pound vs large stump.

You should be able to get dynamite for that or have the puckered up to the point where that's impossible?

It has become a massive down stream problem now with an almost 1/2 mile long log jam involved in it. Absentee landowners who don't give a shit and now the state is getting involved.

We're going to have to wait and see how it plays out to fix our end before playing with anymore toys.

1/2 a mile sounds like a big problem alright. Best of luck working with the state boys.

If you have a gun range that rents try it out first and if you like it, get it. I have not had the best of luck with Taurus 9mm's but I have not owned that model.

One of the major problems with Taurus 1911 is that they don't use standard 1911 parts.

If you like the fit & feel of a 1911, but want to shoot 9mm, take a look at a Browning High Power.

Honestly, I'd rather have something other than a Taurus. I don't know your budget, but here are a couple 9mm 1911 alternatives.

Rock Island Armory for $399.99

Springfield Armory Range Officer for $799.99 w/free shipping

Remington Bucket 'O Bullets back at the Olathe K7 Walmart for the 2nd week in a row. It was stacked 5 feet high. Better hurry if you're in the area.

You would suggest rock island over Taurus? Suprised my friend has a rock island that's been trouble from day one. Was considering the sr1911 on sale locally for around 650. But don't really want to shoot 45 at roughly .50 cents a round.
