Sushi

Do you like sushi and do you have a favorite spot?

I really like Haru's steak and sushi in Olathe on 119th. Their Las vegas rolls are the bomb. Tuna sashimi also.

Domo is my place, mostly because its in my neighborhood but their sushi is as legit as it can get around here. My wife works near RA in OP, their monkey rolls are good.

Don't you love it when you hang out with someone that joyfully exclaims their love of sushi, and then they order a California Roll?

I love exploring the house specialty rolls where ever I go. I have a few favorites...

Lawrence: Wa - Love the XXX Roll. Best roll I've ever had.
Yokohama - Love the Heart Attack, Jayhawk, Crunchy Munchy

Leawood: Sushi Gin - Love their Tsunami and L.A. Rolls.

Best experience I've had ever? Whatever it was that Troy (Big Daddy) ordered from his favorite guy when I was teaching out on the West Coast and hanging out with him and Li'l Momma. Great food, great time.

I love me some California rolls. I'll usually order some of those and try a different type of actual sushi as well.

It's always exciting trying a new type of sushi. Sucks when you ****ing hate it though and you're stuck there eating it.

I'm going to be in Lawrence on Sunday for the kansas half marathon...I think I'll try that place.

My favorite place is in Gladstone at 72nd & North Oak Tfwy - Wasahi. Try the "Last Samurai Roll" if you ever get there.

There is a little hole in the wall place north of the river on Parvin Road called Mr. Lee's. Suprisingly good sushi, most likely better than Moonlight Sushi up by Liberty.

Yeah, I eat there quite a bit too. Another favorite is Jun's at 77th & Stateline across from Hyvee. I think Jun's is a little better. They had a bunch of Toro in last time I was there, and ended up spending about $30 cause I couldn't quit.

I stop by Sunfresh in Westport and pick up sushi there sometime, and it's actually pretty decent. ~$6-8 for 6 pieces of nigiri.

I'm not a fan of rolls. I really prefer nigiri. Keep it simple. Extra wasabi..

Hell no! I got sick as a dog the last time I ate there. Their sushi tastes nasty AND it's overpriced. Never again.

Sushi Gin is usually my go-to place. Great lunch specials.

My favorite was salmon sushimi.
