-- Is it childish to pick out the cashews in mixed nuts?

Is it childish to pick out (to consume) the cashews in mixed nuts - or say; the M&M's out of the trail-mix?

EDIT:
Allow me to clarify
I maybe worded that wrong - I meant ONLY eat the cashews, I apologize for any confusion. & we're talking "ideally' about your family's (or co-worker's) nut canister, not a personal one from which only you eat from.

I don't care for filberts/hazelnuts much and they are very frequently rancid. Thankfully, they replaced them with macadamia nuts in the Kirkland mixed nuts.

Walnuts can **** off, though. They are disgusting. I won't buy mixed nuts with walnuts in them (pecans, though, FTW).

Picking them out separately is probably better than spitting all the ones you don't want back into the bowl.

Just my .02.

So, she pours out some on a paper towel, picks through them with her grubby fingers to get the cashews and then pours the not-cashews back in the bowl?

My sister did the same thing with candy.

Only ate the red or pink Starbursts, picked at the Skittles, jellybeans, fun-size chocolate bar variety packs, and for some reason M&Ms.

Mom did that shit too, but denied it. The candy bowl was always halfway full of the C-student candies.

It's annoying. Don't do it.

the process is unclear - or maybe it varies a little. I'm not sure - I'll observe better and report back.
