So, my school today had a big GoW2 tournament. Apparently there was some G3 School Gaming Tour and it was at WSU today.

I didn't play much - I mostly played my friend in Madden and NCAA. But, GoW2 looks siccckkkkk..

Dead Space just scored a 8.7 on ign --- impressive

9.0 Presentation
A deep story and incredible atmosphere with tons of horror influences make Dead Space one of those titles that is a great starting point for a franchise.

9.0 Graphics
Visually striking, everything from the holograms to the Necromorphs is incredible. Pixilation during depressurization and mild slowdown crimp its style.

9.5 Sound
Voice acting is delivered beautifully, but it's the sound design that will have you jumping out of your seat and sending shivers down your spine.

8.5 Gameplay
A strong mix of action and exploration is only hampered by repetitive, though appropriate, backtracking and odd navigation issues.

8.5 Lasting Appeal
You'll have to play through the game multiple times to improve your gear and understand the full story. However, not being able to change your difficulty after you beat the game is a bad decision.

8.7
Great OVERALL

Got into the Call of Duty World at War beta, but have only played a few games.

It's essentially CoD4 WW2 edition, which is alright with me.

I probably won't even post on CP for like 6 months when Gears 2 comes out.

That's how much it will dominate my limited free-time. I became an absolute recluse when the first Gears came out. I may do the same again for Gears 2.

Probably the same with me.

I remember getting a group from the Phog together to play tons of GoW. Needless to say, they didn't like me a whole lot because I introduced them to the domination station.

This is a good Sunday to fire up the 360. Hell, I think most Sundays the rest of the year are going to be good Sundays to fire up the 360.

Did you get in by preordering? I registered at the Call of Duty website and haven't really been keeping up with what is going on with the beta.

ya I wanted to get the beta and I am 99% sure that the deal was you had to pre-order at a gamestop to have a chance to get the beta and when I went in to gamestop and asked about that they had absolutely no idea what the hell I was talking about.

Also, I'm going to get the collector's edition this year which will probably be the first time I've ever bought one. The weapons and double XP sold me on that.

This is going to be one hell of a fall for gaming. Which is good, because I am trying to stop drinking and fallout 3/COD5/WoW LK/GOW2 and trying to finish up the rest of the games I have will basically turn me into the recluse I need to become.
