Glad it only ended up being one of Wiggins/Waiters and Bennett/Thompson. Those original rumors giving up the farm were insane. A little bummed to see Wiggins involved though. Just need to sign some defenders.

Georges Niang would be the missing piece in Cleveland.

. They could have traded the farm and you would have just said "Glad they didn't have to trade that 2017 2nd round pick like rumored".

The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached an agreement in principle to trade Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers for No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins, 2013 No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett and a protected 2015 first-round draft pick, Yahoo! Sports is reporting.

According to Yahoo! sources, Love has committed to opt out of his contract in 2015 and re-sign with Cleveland next summer for five years and $120 million-plus.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed in principle to acquire star power forward Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves for this year's No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins, last year's top pick Anthony Bennett and a protected 2015 first-round pick, Yahoo! The Cavs are making the deal with the Timberwolves with a firm understanding that Love will opt out of his current deal and re-sign with Cleveland on a five-year, $120 million-plus extension, Wojnarowski reports. No third team is involved in the deal, according to the report.

So, basically, Rustshack owes everyone on the planet an apology for being such a dick on this subject.

Look...I would LOVE for the Wolves to make some noise. My family is from Minnesota...I spent part of my childhood there. I went to grad school at the U. I have roots in that damn state.

But you are a fool if you think that team is going to do anything competitive in the conference in the next 5 years.

The humor is this was done by LeBatard and his radio show - not by Miami fans - purely as trolling - and the reaction from the people interviewed. The same fan base that burned jerseys, denounced Lebron, and went on the rag for a year is now saying "This is America - he's free to do whatever he wants - get over it!" Pure gold.

Even if it was Waiters, Wiggins and Bennett, that's not giving up the farm.

You have a really, really inflated value on Waiters.

5 years is a long ass projection.

4 years ago, we had the Cavs left for dead and never to return.

Wiggins is a nice step. If they can get Thad Young from Philly...

Pek, Thad, Wiggins, Martin and Rubio is not bad at all. It's a more athletic lineup than with Love. Rubio and Wiggins on the break should be outstanding. It will also be a better defensive lineup.

Positives that I will be focusing on:

1. Minnesota is in the western conference, so I'll see him play more.

2. He has a true pass-first point guard.

3. He will be the man in Minnesota.

4. That's all I got.

Was really, really, really looking forward to seeing what happens when one all-world talent gets to mentor another one on the same team. Sessed luh vye.

What a shock, Rustshack exposed as the homer fool once again. Great deal by the TWolves, of course, getting Wiggins for a guy who was going to bolt anyway (you can actually kind of thank Love for making his thoughts known publicly and the situation untenable in a way now). But this also makes the Cavs a 60+ win team, the best bet to win the East this year by far, and a true championship contender right there with the Spurs/Thunder, so it serves their purposes well too.
