A very moving excellent film, done tastefully, about the horrors by the Turks on the Armenians swallowed-up by the Ottoman Empire.

If you like history, it's a must. If you're not, you could learn something as we don't hear much about this event. Read up on it first if you want a better understanding too. I did that, though read about it years ago and had forgotten most of the details.

I didn't see it advertised or missed it, until I stumbled on it at imdb to see what was playing. It came out weeks ago and was largely gone so I had to go to a matinee.

I found out that imdb was besieged by trolls giving it a bad rap. Suspected are Turks who deny it was a genocide. Not saying it was, but either way it was an tragic WWI atrocity.

I'd rate it 5 stars in a 5 star rating system; a 10 in a 10 star system. It was top-notch.

It's gone from most cinemas by now. Only a matinee was left when I saw it last week or so ago. An epic is worth seeing the big screen to me.
