A little help, please.
I began setting up the system yesterday. Got everything wired, hit the power switch, and it doesn't post, no beeps. I've checked the memory is seated, tried other slots, and tried one at a time - nothing. I've removed the standalone video card and the WiFi card already and connecting to onboard video via HDMI. Monitor comes up, but all I get is a flashing underscore in the top left of the screen. My next step this evening is to disconnect all drives and boot with nothing attached at all (do I do this with or without memory?), and I will ensure I don't have a post under the motherboard that's making contact somewhere. At this point, I believe it's either mobo or chip. How do I narrow it down, or do I send both back to Amazon for replacement? TIA. |

Did you recheck that everything you plugged into the mobo is in the right spot?

Did you install the spacing screws that go between the back of the case and the motherboard? If not, it could be arcing.
If you did and both power connectors are in locked in place on the board, and still don't see the Bios screen, it's a faulty board. I've read that failure rate/DOA's are at 30% recently. I had the same thing happen with an Asus board in late November. DOA. The replacement died two weeks ago and Amazon gave me a full refund. I replaced it with a Gigabyte. |

The latest replacement is a Gigabyte Black and so far, so good. But it just goes to show that none are immune to failure. |

Sorry FMB that sucks, but in the end you're better off for building your own pc.

take everything out and assemble it OUTSIDE of the case, can use mobo box to lay it on.
See if it works then. Always test system outside case before install~ |
