New generation of kids changing their names?
So Brendan and Shayna(both teens) have friends that have changed their names. Not legally, but just an emotionally need to name themselves something that they think fits them or something.

When i was young it was just called a nickname and you didn't give it to yourself.


Now i guess it's some kind of emo/hippie/valley type think to give yourself a new name.

One of Brendan's friends named himself "Phoenix"


Of course i silently roll my eyes and think that the kid has to be a douche.


I guess i'm just old and don't understand.
